The Al Gore movie "An Inconvient Truth" will be playing in several cities starting in June. The promotional aspects of the movie include "help spread the truth" or "raise awareness of the truth." Who cares about environmental damage, you're not going to be here to witness it. As for Your children, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger anyway, we all know that truth already.

Coral Reefs around the world have suffered tremendous damage but the only people who have leisure to enjoy scuba are rich or out on their one week per year "let's pretend we're not peasants spree." Isn't this what it's all about? Rich or in debt Americans travel the world, find some rubbers on a dying reef and come back outraged and begin to recycle, then they can get all the self-righteous moral justifications with a minimal amount of work, a similar story of how one rises to power positions in the first place.

Corporations encourage their employees to donate a small percentage of their paychecks to organizations like United Way, it's all an attempt to mask the local damage done when the corporation moved in and sent the exchange value back to corporate headquarters in some other state.

The downtown churches allow the homeless to sleep in the churches at night. The city planners love churches for this reason. It's a way for the tourists to not have to see the waste products of the local economic success story. Like the kid who cleans his room by shoving all the laundry into the closet. Many problems in the United States are similar to our healthcare system, mask the problem with drugs and then when that drug stops working, mask it with some more, the newest products. It just doesn't make economic sense to set up systems in ways that prevent problems.

I'm glad Larry David, his wife and others helped Al Gore put this film out but it's going to take about 400,000 powerful/influential people like them to help halt this cruise ship to hell before it can even begin to turn around.

When the water quality in the gated communities begins to take a nosedive and the organic food becomes too expensive something will be done naturally.
