Morality is a game that humans invented to be at their most cruel and still remain within the guise of the good. To be able to look down on somebody, passive or active, delight of delights, a supreme delicacy!

Always the danger with attempts to understand human behavior in a form of either beliefs or larger structures such as theories is not as benign as a science for the non-human world. This seems very obvious but it can not be overstated as we make reductions and generalizations about human behavior all of the time when we talk to ourselves and if we are not talking to ourselves then televisions, books, radios, other people are doing it for us. Sometimes it might be innocent enough, to try a new role, the perpetual child in the sandbox shitting but more often than not, a type of tyrant speaks. To make it worse, the tryant has the best vision in the world but is unable to see itself and tricked into the notion that it sees itself accurately.

A theory about plants is one thing and a theory about human behavior or culture, innate drives etc. is another. If the scientists get photosynthesis, the Krebs cycle or say quantum mechanics wrong, it makes little difference, these things will go on doing what they do undisturbed. Maybe we can't exploit the process for technological advances so that explains the little difference part, otherwise I can see no reason why it makes any difference at all.

However, if a theory about human behavior, innate drives, theory of desire, for example turns out to be wrong it has consequences and if it was wrong to begin with, that doesn't mean it will still be wrong in the future as overzealous policies might have become established that push behavior onto what was previously a fictional trajectory.
